Our Ethos Statement Our Ethos is an Evangelical stance by which the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is proclaimed to all who are Lost, disciples made and nurtured using the Ministry and Gifts of the Spirit of Christ given to both ordained and lay people. The practice of our ministry incorporates elements of both Conservative and Charismatic streams, without the extremes of both belief systems. It is our aim that everything is done in a worshipful and orderly manner, so that believers within the defined spectrum find the ministry and worship encouraging and joyful. We believe in the reality of miracles, and that spiritual healing and wholeness are available to all in the Name of Jesus Christ. Furthermore, this healing ministry is one of prayer that may be supplemented by the modern medicine and medical practices available to us today, as God sees fit to use. We encourage every member and adherent to develop a strong personal devotional relationship with Jesus Christ, aided by the Holy Spirit, and would encourage the seeking and development of those gifts of the Spirit that He has selected for our use. If this includes speaking in tongues then we would normally prefer that this be used in personal adoration of God in private worship, so as to avoid discomfort to other worshippers in a corporate assembly.
